REVIEWS
"This one ends with a spectacular cliffhanger that will be driving me up the wall for the next three months. These books have everything right. There is fast dialogue, a bit of naughty situations, wonderful descriptions of how the other half lives and fast paced. These should really be a television series." --Mary Jacobs, Bookhounds.com
"The book didn’t disappoint. My favorite thing about these books is that they really capture the hurt you feel at betrayal and the complicated emotions that go with that. Including what could lead someone to betray a friend. In their own ways they all felt justified in their actions. A lot of that had to do with miscommunication and assumptions that were made, but in a weird way all of their actions made sense. Even if I didn’t agree with them. I hated that the book ends here. Not that the ending wasn’t satisfying. I don’t want to give anything away, but I thought it was wrapped up very well. There are a few things left open and I know these books are The Onesies, so I can’t help but wonder if Ms. Brown is planning on focusing on the next year at PHM&T, but now they’re two. It’s set up in such a way that she could easily do that, but it wouldn’t be necessary. I would definitely love spending more time with Lorna, Ally, Jillian, and Jade though." -- Simply Stacie Reviews
"The newest book in this addictive series about an elite mom’s group in San Francisco follows the summer of the mothers’ first year in the club. The remaining moms who’ve been battling for the spots in the group are dealing with betrayals and secrets, and Bettina, the club’s power-hungry leader, might even get what she deserves. The series is digital only, but if you’re buying an e-reader as a gift, why notpre-load all four books on it? Bonus: Book 1 is currently free." -- Examiner.com
"These Totlandia books have seriously done a number on me! I started the first one not sure how I would like them, being a non-mother myself. But I was immediately hooked on this crazy group of women and the mommy group they belonged to. I’ve been having fun reading about them throughout the seasons, and the fourth book really took the cake in over the top for me. Friendships that we’ve read in the other books that seem like true friendships (rare in this series, trust me!) are breaking apart, the mom and tots club seems to be heading for disaster, and we think Bettina might finally get a taste of her own medicine – about time! The sex scenes are also pretty steamy, especially with the addition of a new man into the cast. If you haven’t read any of the books in the series I recommend you start at the first and work your way into them. They are fab and not to miss!" --ChickLitPlus.com
"I missed the ladies of the Pacific Heights Moms & Tots Club, so it was like catching up on a TV series after it came back from hiatus....I enjoyed seeing what the women were up to this time around. Would there be more backstabbing and betrayal? Would anyone get the happy ending they deserved...or receive a hearty helping of karma? Book Four was just as funny and entertaining as the previous three, with perfect levels of snarkiness and irony. I enjoyed the revenge fantasies, as well. Some were down right delicious! It was nice seeing the characters get what was coming to them, either good or bad, depending on their role in the story." -- ChickLitCentral.com
"I feel that Totlandia, Book 4 features the characters as a lot more mature. The way they interact with each other and around one another seems to be a lot more controlled. I especially liked the focus of Jillian’ and Scott’s (her ex-husband) relationship. They have certainly been through a lot. Can they both come out stronger in the end? The superficial character traits (especially from the other club members) are even more prominent in this book. I thought I knew it all by now, but there were still some connections that took me by surprise. Josie brilliantly manages to keep up the reader’s interest throughout..." --Cosmochicklitan
"Author Josie Brown takes her readers on another fun ride through the lives of the PHM&T moms... The women have made some serious choices and they’re having to own up to them now. Once they see the effects their words and deeds have on those around them, the ladies have to deal with it and in some cases, apologies are in order.
The book, while dealing with very grown-up issues, does give some giggles at the expense of the super over-the-top Bettina and crew. I loved the jokes about an art themed birthday party for a four-year-old, where the pint-sized guests would be dressed as famous artists. Can you imagine?
At the end of the book, it’s clear that things won’t be the same when we meet up with the Pacific Heights Mom & Tots Club again. BIG changes are in store for at least two members. There is some good resolution for a few of the storylines, but there’s still much to discover about the ladies and their lives. There’s one Top Mom Committee member whose comeuppance I’m (im)patiently awaiting! She’s got it comin’!
For anyone who loves a fast-paced book that delivers laughs and heart, pick up theTotlandia series, available individually or currently in a our-book series pack, for nearly all e-readers! They’re a quick read that you’ll love to talk about with your playgroup moms!" -- PlaydateCrashers.com
"When I began Totlandia Book 4 during this busy holiday season I despaired of ever finding the time to read the whole book. Can you imagine I breezed through the entire book in one evening? I had to. I couldn’t wait any longer to see how the lives of Ally, Bettina, Lorna, Jade and the rest of the gang tangled and untangled their lives. You won’t be able to stop thinking about these ladies who lunch (albeit with diaper bags and toddlers in tow) and what will happen in the next installment. Author Josie Brown does a fabulous job of both wrapping up the story and beginning a new one on the same page. And like me, you’ll be sending Josie “What’s next?” emails.
The only drawback is this is not the type of series you can jump into in the middle. You absolutely have to read Books 1, 2, and 3 if you want to fully appreciate Book 4." -- Words by Webb
"If you ever wondered what happened to those girl bullies from high school – they don’t change. I found out early on that this is a guilty pleasure. I couldn’t stop reading because I wanted to know what everyone is going to do next.
I was glad to see that one of our characters didn’t have the mother-in-law from hell. I don’t know if that would have made a difference on how I felt about the series – can’t have too many bitches. One thing I also loved about this series was that the children also had their own personalities.
Now the choice is up to you. You can either purchase each book separately: Fall came out on November 09, 2012 and Winter came out on November 19, 2012. The third book, Spring, came out on January 31, 2013 and number four came out on December 05, 2013. Or you can purchase the series as a volume. And if you liked this series as much as I did you may want to check out some of the author’s other work." -- LoveRomancePassion.com
